Nothing Prints SCAL3...Silver Bullet

Hello gang,
I'm brand new to Sure Cuts A Lot 3, which I got with my purchase of a Silver Bullet professional series cutter (which I'm also brand new to). Part of my project's workflow requires that I be able to print my artwork with registration marks in order to do a custom-cut around it. I'm trying to print the artwork after having imported it into SCAL3 from Illustrator (with the "Illustrator to SCAL3" plug-in).
The problem is...
nothing prints. I've tried printing to my inkjet and to a PDF document, but in both cases the pages are completely blank. Clearly I'm doing something wrong and I'm hoping someone can tell me what.
Thanks in advance!
Joe

Use File and Place to place the image if it is a 'picture' and File Import if it is an .svg or I am not sure how Illustrator comes in...but then also for the outline to cut...make sure the eye for it in the Layers Panel is turned OFF.
Let us know if this gets you any further. I am sorry I don't know more about your cutter or the plug in.

Thanks for your quick reply, gj1. I turned off the cut layer, but still nothing prints. I am attempting to print bitmap (as opposed to vector) graphics, so I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the problem.

Are you using File and Print from within SCAL. Do you have your cutter selected in the cutter section. Is your printer the default printer for your computer...
If you are printing using File and Place this should print a .jpg or .png, bmp, all of the picture types.
I am sorry, I am not sure about all the questions...wish someone else would chime in also. Can you get help for your cutter forum on the how to for some answers, also, maybe.
With the holidays there just have not been many people on here. I am sorry I don't know more.

Hi gj1, the answer is "yes: to all of the above. There is a forum for Silver Bullet Cutters, too, which I'll check out as well, but I thought I'd start here since it is the software that seems to be giving me trouble at the moment. Thanks again for your input!

Joe, go to our silver bullet forum (the UK one) and search out pandoras videos for Print and cut.
I'm sure that will give you some tips.
if not, on the forum, just shout out for help and we can direct you to the posts or the tube of U links
I know Pandora is on this forum too so she may post her link to her tube of U video

Thanks again for chiming in, gj1 and Gaz - much appreciated!
Just an update: As per the
other printing thread gj1 directed me to, changing my mat size to 12x12 seems like it may have been the solution. I say "seems like" because changing the mat size didn't work at first, and after that, as further troubleshooting, I also restarted my computer
and connected the cutter to my computer (which didn't seem logically necessary at that point since I wasn't actually cutting anything yet). Anyway, whatever combination of the above was key, printing now works. Yay!

OH, that makes me so happy. Gotta give a shout out thanks, too, to HeatherM for her insight for how things work.
