directional arrows in SCAL 3 not working

Post by cnowlin »

I am using Windows 7, SCAL 3 and Black Cat. I have attempted to calibrate the software to the Black Cat, but the directional arrow keys in SCAL will not allow me to position the laser dot precisely over the cut X for calibration. What am I doing wrong. I need to more a small increment but the Control and Shift Keys move to much as well as the individual arrow keys.

You can get as close as possible with CTRL.. that should really let you get close enough..

If it does not, then you can of course edit manually and make minute adjustments to the values.

If you are a member of the blackcatforumuk have a look at my tutorial on manual laser calibration for signcut, the process will work with SCAL as well although I think the negative sign is not used.. I would need to look into that but it should give you an idea of how manual calibration is done

When I get time to do it I will reproduce the manual laser calibration tutorial tailored for SCUT and post it on this forum as well as BCF, I am a bit busy at the moment though so it will not be until I have some free time.
