I have SCAL V 2.012. I am trying to upgrade to V.3. I can only upgrade to V2.044. What do I need to do? Please help. I have a friend here from out of town and we are wanting to work on SCAL and can't. HELP!

Hi, vs 2.044 is the last vs of SCAL for the Provocraft cutters like the baby bug. and the Experssion. SCAL3 does not work on the ProvoCraft cutters. So upgrading to 2.044 is as far as you can go, it will be a whole lot better than thevs tou have.

Sorry I was unclear. I am using the Black Cat Lynx and still cannot upgrade SCAL any further than 2.044. Any suggestions?

To upgrade from scal2 to scal3 is a free update from Craft Edge, Go here to upgrade..

I assume it gives you a new serial number, as far as I am aware it installs separately to scal2 so you can run both on your computer

And, you can create in scal3 and save the file...change the extention number from 3 to 2 in your desktop folder and then cut the file made in scal3 by opening it in scal2.

I a running Windows 7 and using a Black Cat Lynx. I have updated to version 2.044. However when I go to the update page, it keeps updating to 2.044 which I already have installed.

I have now sent 4 emails to Craft Edge trying to get help and my one only response sent me to the update page which puts me back to 2.044 update only. My email address has changed since my time of purchase and I have notified them of this change. I have checked my spam and there is no email from them. I have been trying to upgrade since Monday evening and I am frustrated.

We certainly are having communication problems.

Have you tried downloading SCAL3? Not up dating?

middle of this page is where you need to download the Scal 3 and then you will have a window asking you for your scal2 number enter it and it will give you one for the scal3

SCAL3 is a different program entirely to SCAL2, SCAL3 is NOT an update to SCAL2.

To get SCAL3 you need to visit the SCAL UPGRADE page I posted earlier in this thread, you enter your SCAL2 serial and I assume will be issued an SCAL3 serial number in order to install and use the new program
