:D
boy am I happy. about a week ago I dragged my Expressions out of its box and wanted to cut some vinyl, I wanted to use SCAL, but didnt know anything about the lawsuit etc .. so my machine wouldn't work
I then couldnt find my serial number etc - so I thought I would get ready for when i did and get some svg files :D
I have been trying for 4 days to get the darn thing to work , you would not believe how much I have read - been going to bed at silly o'clock times !!!
Finally today I read something - went to the support bit and found a windows upgrade and thought oh well lets see........
YAH ... IT WORKS !!! :D :D :D
couple of issues though.... SCAL does one picture then when I want to do another it says not working and I have to shut SCAL down -- suppose I will have to turn SCAL off every time ???
the other issue is that the blade when cutting- tends to ''stutter'' IYKWIM - does everyone elses do this ?
anyway I am so dam happy, I was gonna buy a silhouette and sell my expression and all my cartridges . but there may be some life in the old bird yet !!!

What version of SCAL do you have (Scal 1 or 2). Hopefully you have SCAL 2. Do you have the latest upgrade. If not, go to this link and upgrade your SCAL2.

You know that is one of the reason my wife and I did not really like the Cricut. Ours seemed to cut vinyl rather jagged too. We bought the Silhoutte SD and wow what a difference.

Can't guarantee that. You might want to see if you can do Path - Simplify to reduce the number of nodes. I like my eClips a whole lot better than the Expression. In fact, I hardly ever though the other machine.
