This is probably a dumb question to most but here goes.
I'm trying to cut a scripture out of vinyl to go on a tile. What is the best way to do this using ecal for the sizzix eclips?
Thanks,
Michelle

Welcome Michelle,
There are not many tutorials for step by step out yet for the eclips....but since it works sorta like SCAL insofar as creating text to cut your best bet is to see the video's on SCAL.
Here is a video for working with text.

there are many more vidoes there too.
Once you get the text the way you want it if you need more for "cutting" it with eCAL...come on back and we will help you.

I am doing a quote for a tile. I want to use different fonts throughout the quote. Do I have to start a new text block for each font and each line in the quote or is there something I am overlooking. I am used to photoshop where I can just open a text box and put in everything I want where I want, but I seem to be a bit confused with this program.
Thanks,
Michelle

Unfortunately yes, you do. Once you have them all and aligned the way you want the lines you can group the whole thing together.

Thanks for answering my question. I thought I would lose my mind trying to figure that out.
I did create what I wanted in Photoshop, saved as jpg and traced it in ECAL & it worked great.
Thanks,
Michelle

I was going to recommend that but sometimes fonts do not trace well, but if it turned out the way you wanted it to that's the only thing that matters.
I would love to see a picture of the finished tile when you have time.

Quick question, what pressure depth cut would you recommend to cut vinyl, but no it's backing paper? Thanks
