Viewing SVG thumbnails

Hello: I recently had to reformat my computer and I cannot find out how to view my SVG files when I open the folder where I store all my SVGs. I used to be able to just click on the folder and I could clearly see a thumbnail view of the SVG image without having to open another program to view each SVG individually.
Hoping someone can help me figure this out. I remember it wasn't a huge thing to do but for some reason I just can't seem to figure it out. Thanks in advance,
Donna

Thanks Butterfly: I am running XP professional, IE 8 or Firefox. I used to be able to open my documents folder where I had my SVG's stored and if I hit thumbnail view I could actually see the image. Right now if I click on the actual thumbnail it will open it up in another window and I can see it that way but I was hoping for a "quick" view option like I had before where I could quickly scroll through my 100's of SVG's and see in the folder exactly what I wanted without opening each individual thumbnail. I hope that makes sense.
Thanks for such a quick reply.

Now why would microsoft go backwards instead of forwards in this regard. IE 7 no problem just opening up my documents folder to where ALL my SVGs are stored and I can just view away. I am so hugely annoyed that I now have to open a program and then select each individual file to view it. That is definately NOT Progress.....ggggrrrr.....just had to vent (after spending hours trying to figure it out assuming I MUST be missing something)...alas to find out I"m not losing my mind.......lol....thanks for everyone's help though.

That is such a bummer. What I have is a folder I made on my desktop that is just SVG files. I can go into this file and at the top I have Views selected as Large Icon and this way I always have them very viewable and all open at once so I can scroll thru them. This also works when I am in SCAL2 and click on SVG and the files are open and ready to peruse thru. I have Firefox also.
