Is there a double cut feature on SCAL when using a cricut? When cutting vinyl parts of the vinyl doesnt cut all the way through. thought if there was a way to do a double cut it would cut the vinyl better. Unless someone has a better solution for my problem.

Vinyl shouldn't cut all the way through - it should be what I've seen called a kiss cut - it cuts the vinyl but not the backing.

It cuts a lot easier than any type of card stock paper - you sometimes have to experiment depending on how sharp your blade is, but usually the 3-3-3 or medium pressure, medium speed and 3 on the blade works very well.

In addition to what hbicigo said, sometimes when you're cutting vinyl the cut doesn't cut completely all the way around. It has been suggested that SCAL be fixed to over-cut slightly. That would really help out a lot. Since I'm still using a Cricut, I don't think that will ever happen for me, but it might be considered for SCAL3???

i know about the kiss cut and usually have my settings at the 3-3-3. what doesnt get cut is the corners or at the where the cut would have finished. i think the over cut would probably be the solution.

you can do a double cut on the circut by going to cutter and then select multi-cut. :))

I want to know if there is a double cut feature on the scal program, for cutting thick cardstock. I don't have the option on my little machine for multicut.
Thanks

Click on Cutter at the top and Multicut at the bottom.
