My SCAL 2 keeps freezing with my laptop and Cricut Expressio

When I am preparing what I want to cut on my laptop,
sometimes SCAL freezes.... what can I do?

What exact version of Scal do you have? I believe 2.038 and lower has an addition START CUTTING button. It will say START and you click it and think it should start but then another button appears to say START CUTTING and you have to click that too.
Other than that, it could be your security is blocking it or you don't have enough speed or memory or something with you computer not scal.
