Being only new as, quite a few of us are, I often notice messages/questions go unanswered, this seems a shame as isnt that what this forum is about.........helping each other to understand and use a really good program.
So maybe if we all see a question we can answer or even partly answer or even give someone a virtual shoulder be nice.
Id really like to thank everyone thats helped me over the last month.

I try to help as often as I can but sometimes I don't answer because I don't have enough info.
If I see a post that just says, i.e., I can't get it to work, I don't answer it...not enough information.
I am not trying to be difficult but sometimes posters should give more information...what operating system, what you are trying to do, what you did...unfortunately, this is not verbal help so everytime you leave info out, there has to be a post to get that info...so forth and so on.

I answer when I have time & if I know the answer or can help. or if I feel compelled to help.
I tend not to answer to a question that has been answered a lot. It would be great if people would utilize the search feature or at the very least read through the board & posts--they'll find the answers there

I agree with Jancy - many questions are common questions and have been discussed a lot in the past. A simple search would easily find the answer.
I do answer questions I know answers to. I'm not going to repetitively respond that I don't know.

Christine, I think you make an excellent point. I've seen so much great information on this board from so many knowledgeable people! I can see it's a great group of helpful people.
I know it can be frustrating when someone asks a question that's been asked many times, but often those people don't have a good handle on how to search for answers. Maybe those folks need to be pointed gently toward the search feature on the site, and even to some browser search toolbars' page search function since they sometimes brings up more thorough results than many bulletin boards' on-site searches.
If someone asks a vague question, it may be because the person doesn't know how to word a question. A quick post asking for more information will not only help the poster to sort things out, but it will help others to answer the question. Active boards like these are great because of all the input! One person might request more info, another might ask for clarification on the reply, and then -- boom -- someone else entirely may post the answer. When boards work right, they're a symphony made up of many parts, you know?
Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for your post. You make a great point! I notice there's a link for "View unanswered posts" and I think that's a great thing the admin(s) did.

Most of the time I don't have the answers because I am still learning myself - and many of my questions still haven't been answered.
