Centerpiece for My Niece's Birthday Party

This is the project that's been driving me nuts for the past couple of days. Nothing went right, but it will have to do. If I had more time, I would redo the whole thing, because I'm crazy that way.

The name on the bucket is not as misaligned as it looks in the photo, but it is slightly off. The glitter was an absolute mess. I still feel like it needs something, but I'm not feeling it. Even though it's not my best work, I'd thought I'd share anyway.
Jo-anne - your 50 sucks bucket inspired me to do this centerpiece. I had done a few bucket centerpieces before for a baby shower, but I forgot about them. Now I remember why i did!

I think it is GRAND.
I can never glue, or glitter without it all over everything, nor can I get anything straight so I can really appreciate this and the work to create it.

Thank you Susan. Yes, there was glitter everywhere. I told my niece that my lungs are probably sparkly since I inhaled so much.

Pasta you did an awesome job on it.. I love it!!! Don't forget Disneyland is extra glittery because of Tinkerbell.. Perhaps you should have thrown her in there as well??LOL

Thanks Jo-Anne. Tinkerbell is for another day. Her bedroom has Tink on the walls. Her birthday them is Mickey's playhouse friends. I probably should've done Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto, but paper piecing is really not my thing. I AM LAZY!!! She's lucky she got Mickey and Minnie out of the deal.

Not only that, these old eyes don't work that well anymore.

Very Cute!!
Welcome to the "Fraternal Order of Glitter Globbers". There is no way to use glitter without having it everywhere.
You know that Good Cooks are rarely neat cooks - same goes for crafters - the messier your work area - the more creative you are!!

I agree, it is really cute and will make a great centerpiece. If you want to add something to it how about some suckers sticking out of it with your cool swirly, shiny things! I never know what to call them. I also agree about the glitter. I think that is why I am not a big fan, it really creates a mess that is around for weeks! As for the name on the bucket, remember the "galloping horse theory." If a man on a galloping horse can't see that it is off no one else can either! Great job!

Thanks for all of the nice feedback.

I thought about suckers too, but her mom doesn't like to her have suckers and if the little one sees them, she'll go berserk if she can't have one.

Don't want that to happen at the party!
