Can't access HELP in SCAL 2.044

Hello--

New to the boards and to the software.

When I click on help in SCAL2 I get the little timing circle thing but no help pops up. I've looked "behind" the open window, etc.

I use SCAL2.044 and am in windows 7. (New to that this week, too. For an old woman, I'm sure new to a lot.)

And this is a question regarding the boards. I was trying to figure out how to get a font to shadow mode. So, in search I typed shadow and font. Because these words are so common, I couldn't access help using those words. What other words I might use to narrow my search are beyond my ken. The search function here is not very functional.

I stumbled upon help somewhere else for that particular need.

EDITED TO ADD: SCAL2 also does not give me the option of selecting the correct firmware (2.31) for my expression. When I loaded Design Studio I checked Expression.

I can't help you with the "help" question, but I might be able to help you with your shadow question. In the properties box, in the appearance section, the "style" will have a drop down menu. Click on the type of shadow you want. Once you click on your selection, you can also increase or decrease the size of the shadow which is located right next to the style selection.

I must have missed 2.044...I thought it only went to .043. Not sure why 'help' does not open for you. I can see it.

Did you ever find a solution to the problem loading help in SCAL 2.044? I am having the same problem . I, too, am running Windows 7. Thanks for any help with this issue!!
