i'm looking for something reminiscent of a record album cover. i want to be able to fold and glue in order to have a square pocket, open at one end. if anyone can help, i would certainly appreciate it.

speaking as a former lurker, great forum!

Here's a site that has instructions for folding yourself. Does not use "cut" but may work for you. I like them for quick and easy instructions: Instructable.com. There are several items for CD covers/sleeves that could easily be adapted for albums I think.

The attached svg is my feeble attempt at creating one. In Inkscape, I made it for a 5" square with flaps on the side that you fold and glue. When you import into scal, the sizing gets wonky so you'll have to resize, but I think you need to keep your proportions. I don't think sizing in the Expressions will be a problem, but maybe the 5" square is too wide the for the little bug. Maybe you can flip the image horizontally in Inkscape. I'm still trying to figure out all the bells and whistles. I probably made it more difficult than it needed to be. I didn't try cutting it. Too much trouble to pull out the machine. Hope this works.

One more thing, if you want a little half circle in the middle of the front, for a place to place your thumb to pull out the enclosure, just place a circle there and it will cut it out. Don't weld it or else you'll end up with a tab. :D
