changing line color

A friend recently downloaded inkscape and when he imports a file it comes in a very light blue. The lines are so light he can barely see them. My files import in black and I don't know what to tell him to help him change the line color.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Leigh Ann

The outline is called the Stroke, found under Object then Fill and Stroke and a box opens to let you make the color and thickness adjustments for the outline. Under Help in Inkscape you will find a bunch of tutorials...or you can ask more at inkscapecuttingdesign.com, or there are also many many other tutorials for Ink by just google searching.

good question. I was just wondering how to change the ORIGINAL color of my image to black in Inkscape so it would trace better.
