While I don't use my DS much, the firmware update makes it impossible to use at all. Do you think Todd will make an update to SCAL so I can use my DS if I need to?

I sure hope so!!! I wish someone from SCAL would let us know something!!!

I don't use DSS at all but are you saying that if you don't do the software/firmware update, you can't use it at all?

I read on the Cricut DSS forum that someone had called Cricut customer service to find out if the update was out with the newest carts. She was told no and that they were having problems with the newest upgrade (1.3 and 2.3) and that even PC was taking it back to the older version. The only thing in the .3 upgrade is allowing the new Cricut Create to use DSS. Sounds like PC messed it up again.

What is Cricut Create?

It's the newest Cricut machine. I believe it is about the same size and weight as the regular bug, but with all the functions that the expression has. I think it is sold exclusively at Michael's and the UK right now. Someone please correct me if I'm mistaken!
