Does SCAL work with Cricut Imagine

I just bought a new cricut Imagine and was wondering if SCAL is going to work with it. Do I need to update my SCAL or anything special?

My understanding is that the Imagine does not work with SCAL or SCAL2 - from the craftedge products page: Works with the Cricut Personal, Cricut Expression, Cricut Create & Cricut Cake MachinesTM

The only thing the Imagine works with is it's carts and possibly the gypsy. Last I heard (a while back) it was not working with the gypsy yet.

I purchased the imagine and sent it back for this very reason, doesn't work with anything, should work with gypsy but could never get the thing to update another PC blunder.
