I am doing the name tiles, and when it cuts and the letter has a frame around the letter, it will not connect and cut the frame where I typed the letter. What am I doing wrong? It cuts the letter, but I don't know what to do to make it join the frame there. When I pull the rectangle across, I assumed that I do the frame too. ANAow when I get done and ready to cut, how do I join the frame back together, so I will have a frame around the whole letter solid...

are you doing this in SCAL or another program like inkscape?

In SCAL, did click Weld?

In inkscape, try path/union.

do a preview before you cut so you don't waste any material.
