Not a stupid question really I didn't really know too much about them for a long time and still don't really in the ways I have heard others use them for. But I am sure having fun making them and got a few thought and project lined up for some of the ones I have made. I like to use them in ways like this

Others like to use them to create embossing folders
Many just like to use them as mats on cards and layouts for scrap booking

In my nestling files it has 10 layers of the same shape, resize the stack if you need to then right click and ungroup and pull out the size you need
