This was a shock today when I drove by the gas station today. $3.39 a gallon here.

It odd,

Come to warm, sunny Ca where you can pay 20 cents more a gallon but you can go outside without a muffler!

Just filled up today for $3.08 for super unleaded here ($52.02)...cheapest price in town. Last week in CO paid $2.79 a gallon...10 cent a gallon discount for getting a car wash.

Yep, means condensing car trips... Saving up errands and doing them all at once. Too bad we can't tap into our own oil... Or make a car that runs off garbage. I did see a link on Yahoo news yesterday for a car that runs on wind. Lol, when the wind isn't blowing you have to run, like the Flintstones car!

A little off topic, but did you know that there are conversion kits so that you can run used veggie oil in diesel engines.

Well if you want to come to Canada and pay 5.59 per gallon?? then go for it.. lol.. Yes and that's not even an increase that has hit us yet. .We are right now paying 1.20 per liter

Get this one....was $3.19 here this morning and had to fuel up my daughters car. 45 minutes later I left for work and after rush hour when most were already on their way (as we had a 2 hour delay for snow). It was down to $3.13 at the same place. So in 45 minutes the price dropped? So tired of their games at the pump.

Using veggie oil instead of diesel isn't really all that new, I think conversion kits have been available for 7-10 years, maybe more. You do need to start with a diesel engine, and then make some modifications to run the veggie oil. Sometimes you can get the oil for free from restaurants but you need to filter it to get the extra food bits out. Sometimes you can buy it already filtered and ready to use. Do a search for vegetable oil car and you will find lots of info on it.

My hubby who is a mechanic?? says don't do it.. the conversion kits.. Can do lots of damage to the other parts of your engine..
