Mat properties not part of scut file
I wish the mat size and orientation were not included in scut files, especially orientation. Everyone has different preferences, and the mat orientation can really cause problems if it isn't noticed before cutting.

Re: Mat properties not part of scut file
I just came across this post and never even realized that the mat orientation was attached to the file. Thanks for the heads up!

This really needs to be changed as it is quite annoying.

I have never noticed but maybe it should be a tickbox in the save so you can either choose to include the info or not
or it might be better to put it in the open dialogue - an option to read that info or ignore it.

Re: Mat properties not part of scut file
I was thinking some more on this, and I understand why mat size is part of the file. Also, you can deselect "Remember last mat size" in the Preferences and the next time you open SCAL/eCAL it will use your settings. Unfortunately, if you simply create a new doc without closing the program then it will still use the previous settings.
However, it would be better if any new documents were automatically at the user's preferred size and orientation like most programs rather than needing to close then re-open eCAL/SCAL.
