Birdhouse

Here's a little birdhouse I whipped up after seeing one on someone's blog but not being able to find a cut file to download.

There are two layers in the file: one for cut lines, the other for score lines. If you want to use the score lines, select the layer and set the line pattern to one of the dashed patterns.

I think you could use it as a box by not attaching the roof to the ends and only attaching it to the flap on the side wall. It's made of so many pieces so that if you cut it out of patterned paper the pattern will stay straight all the way around.

Cute!!! Thanks for sharing! I made my first "box" yesterday, just having gotten an Expression for Christmas! Now I have lots of new things to make!!

I can see this used as an adorable Easter decoration filled with surprises like those speckled candy eggs.

I think I am doing something wrong. When i open the file up i only see 1 layer?

I just downloaded it and opened it with SCAL 2.041.

When you import the SVG, there will be one folder in the layers list. Click the little triangle next to the folder and you will see two layers.
