Lesson 1 Problems

I decided to venture deeper into lesson one and try and convert a regular image into inkscape. Everything went well except when I hit trace bitmap, not all the pieces were separated. Some showed up as one piece when they should have been two. Is there an easy fix or shouldI get another image. TIA

I haven't read the lesson that you are referring to but when you trace an image you will have the exact copy of what you traced in a vector format.

I am not sure what you mean by an image showing up as one piece when it should have been two. Trace Bitmap does not separate images.
