Hello,

I am making my own svg file to make a x-mas card template, I used paint to make a basic rectangular card. I have used the thinnest possible drawing line but when i import it to SCAL as an SVG file, it is cutting it twice!!! I only want a single cut but I can't make the lines any thinner. Multi cut option is off. Please help! How can I make the SCAL cut a single line vs. treating it like an outline even though is a very thin line?

Could it be because you are drawing lines and not a solid shape. If you pick a shape from the shapes pallete, does it cut twice?

Use the breakapart feature it SCAL.. It could be like Todd stated if you are drawing it draws double lines... if you use the rectangle right in the shapes box in SCAL2 this won't happen..

You have to use a solid shape (in MS Paint you would "Fill" your shape), so it just traces the outside of the shape. Otherwise it will trace the inside and outside of a line. You can still use your original shape in SCAL, you will just have to break apart the inside and outside lines.

Thanks for your suggestions. I will try the shapes in SCAL as well as filling the shape on Paint!
