I am embarrassed to ask but will ....Can someone please convert this file to a SVG for me to be able to cut out?

Also is there a tutorial that will show me how to do that or go about?

Maryanne,

To cut the file you don't need to have it as an .svg.
You can open the .png "image" in SCAL2,
break apart,
group the text back together,
separate the three pieces of the logo to cut in the color you want.
