SVG for a lLARGE ROCK!!!

Post by dfesau »

 Hi .... again...!
I have a project waiting for me that I would not mind if I had a little help on! However; there comes a time when you have to walk on your own two feet ......! ;) So, if there is no one inspired with a idea for my husband's rock ---- that is perfectly fine!!! He put a LARGE rock out by the entrance of our drive ---- by our mailbox and he would like something put on itt! He says surely I can do something with the Cricut! Can I put vinyl out on the rock? I'm not an artist so I cannot paint on it! Maybe I would have to put something over the vinyl to seal it or something....! I don't know! He actually would like something quite decorative on it! He says our name " The Esaus " and then something else for decor! Any ideas? I am thinking too ..... so, I am not offended if there is no input!!!!! Thanks for listening!!!!!!! "grammafaye" :? :)

I don't really think vinyl would stick but you could use the cricut to make a template of your saying and glue mosaic tiles, glass pieces or pebbles on to the rock. Sorry I can't think of anything clever to go with your name but maybe just your name would be all you need.

Good luck with the project!

:) Thanks Jan for your suggestion and thoughts on my "rock project". I was also questioning if the vinyl would stick or not. I have not made stensils yet... I wish I knew how to do that! ;)

It would be easy to do a stencil...I like to use contact paper or laminate some card stock and then cut my design though if you are only doing it once you could cut it and toss it. Here's a stencil font...not the most attractive but gives you an idea...if I have a font I like I make it a stencil font in Inkscape so the pieces are connected.

I wish I understood Inkscape! I have played around a little with it and I know I would love it ! I just need to study it out and go for it, I guess!!! Thanks for your idea! I'm sure that would be better.... then I could paint it! I appreciate it a lot!!! ;) grammafaye
