I have had SCAL 2 for a few months now, but am just now really getting into using it. I have noticed that almost half of my fonts are not available in SCAL 2, they are TT and can be used with all my other programs I have on my computer. Some of the fonts that can't be used I actually got off of the fonts forum on here...aquarelle, pt_banana_split, scriptina and others are even ck fonts. Does anyone know what the problem might be?? I emailed Tech Support but haven't heard anything from them yet. Thanks!!

Usually this only affects a few fonts, but SCAL does use a different font name than other programs (usually the 2 names are the same and it isn't a problem) and alphabetizes with the lower case last. So first look at the bottom of your list and see if the fonts are there and next look carefully at the whole list to see if it is going by another name than what you expect.
There is some limit to the number of fonts that scal can handle so maybe you just have too many installed for SCAL to use. If you are on a PC, you can temporarily load a font from within SCAL2 as a workaround.

i did look at the very bottom as i read that being the case for others, but they are not there. how do you make a temp file for SCAL 2 to be able to use the fonts?

I just heard back from Tech support and they told me to Edit, preferences, and select use full font scan, close the program and open it back up...WORKED LIKE A CHARM!!!
