First Communion party favor

I am desperate. The communion is next week and I want to do something different. I have done a bunch of the regular things for party favors...I was hoping to do a small treat box, sort of the shape of a church (Rectangle) with a Cross on the top. Seems easy, thought I saw it somewhere but off course I can not find it...I was hoping to put a little plant (like part of a egg carton) in it. Any ideas, suggestions, templates? I am really new to this although I have had my Cricut for months I just never seem to find time to be able to work with it.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for any ideas you can share!!

I found this one and converted it..The instructions are at this link..http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=h ... s%3Disch:1 The dotted lines are just there as a folding guide so you can delete them or copy to a separate layer.. :D

Thank you so much for that. It looks a little beyond my ability..... I am going to save this for my CCD class to make.

What I was hoping was that it would be a simple box, with a cross on top...I have seen it with flowers, but either I saw it or I dreamed one up with a cross on it.

If you want simple, it doesn't get any simplier than this:

One piece. Sides fold in, crosses fold out, then slide the slits over the crosses. I like to give the sides a quick run over a sharp edge to curve them.

Hope this helps.

edit
My brain drain is solved just fiddeled with it til the bounding box was smaller. Guess I need to cut more SCUT files instead of importing so many SVG"s

Ok, thought I had my problem solved. When the SCAL 1. opened the wonderful file for the First Communion Party favor box I had a very large bounding box around the favor that fell off the mat, way off the mat and I fiddled with it til it got smaller but as you see there is an invisible box still there. Almost as if there was another object that is going to cut. I usually don't use scut files but only svg's but this one is wonderful and thought about giving it a try. Is it me or is there something else on the mat that I can't see. When unselected it shows as a empty yellow box. Any ideas?

Ok, here is the svg file - importing that should be easier than trying to fix a scut.

If you make the box 5.75" (which gives you 4 to a 12" sheet), the base comes out a little more than 1 1/2" square and a little over 1" tall. Really too small to put anything in.

But if you cut it 8" square, it comes out 3" at the base and about 1 1/2" tall - big enough for kisses or mini candy bars. You might want to think about using 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock to save paper. I made the sample with 110 lb cardstock from staples:

Let me know if you have any other questions.
