I would like to make a mourning badge decal for DH's car. This is the style of badge that is worn here.

Can anyone make an SVG with this design. Due to the intricate design I don't need all of the little cuts but would like to have the banners included in the design. I tried to trace this in SCAL and it's very obvious I don't know what I'm doing. Thanks for your help. Judy

I tried to make this work, but the resolution is too low. Do you have a digital camera that you can actually take a picture of a badge and post it here? Put the badge on a white paper background to get a good contrast. Take the picture at the highest resolution that your camera can take and as close as possible. Many cameras today have a closeup setting.

Todd, I hope these help, not much of a photographer so if you need more/better pics please let me know. The wording doesnt need to be included, as it can be a generic badge. I would like for the banner design to be there though. Thanks again, Judy

I need to know what you want to cut! Is the shield solid and the banners are cut out with letters inside? Is the shield outlined and so the banners will also be outlined?

Oops, sorry. I would like for the design to be in the shape of the badge. With the banners as cut outs. I don't need the letter or the round seal in the middle. Everything is so small and inticate that I think it would be more work and effort to do the design any different. However, if you feel it looks better some other way than what I tried to describe please, do it that way. I'm truly not picky, would just like something to put on a card and in a frame as a remembrance.

I will then place a stripe (with a sperate piece of paper) over the badge to replicate the way a badge is worn when an officer is Killed in the line of Duty.
