I am new to this forum and have just purchased and Cricut Expressions and purchased the Designs Studio program, and downloaded the SCAL program. I love the programs and have made my first projects. My questions are...when making my vinyl projects, the cutter pulled up some of the letters as it was cutting. So, I have the blade set on 4 and I have the pressure set on Medium, and the speed on high. Does anyone know what is the best combination to cut the vinyl. I used the Wall Pops from Lowes to make these. I thought it might have been a bad blade so I put a new one in and it still tears.
Thanks!

When I cut cardstock, which is heavier, I use the fastest speed and a pressure of 4 or 5. For thin papers, and I'm sure the vinyl is very thin too, I use a speed of 2 and a pressure of 3. I find the faster speed 'snags' a lot of the letters. Hope this helps.

I found that I have to play with the pressure - if I use too light of a pressure, it doesn't cut all the way through. I don't know if multiple cuts would help that or not. I definitely agree with the speed thing - the lighter the material, the slower the speed. Also I find that intricate work even on heavier paper needs a slower speed.
