I have read how wonderful you all think SCAL is but for the life of me I don't get it. I have been working for hours and I can't get anything to work except typing a word on a sheet.
If you buy SCAL do you get a manual from the company with instructions/tutorials?
If not I dont know that I can get started and progress.
This isn't user friendly and because I want this to work I'm hoping you'll all tell me there is a wonderful manual/workbook/tutorial available.

Peg, I'm sorry you are not finding SCAL friendly or useful. Before I can point you to tutorials I need to know which version of SCAL you are working with and on what OS.

There are several versions of SCAL2 and it will make a difference whether you are working on a Mac or a Windows machine.

I'm so sorry you having problems with your software.

Your basic manual is under the Help icon at the top of screen to the middle right. There is also a tutorial section that you can go though but I find it easier just to ask the questions directly though the tuit section of our forum here. Everyone is very friendly and there are many, many who are very good at explaining how too's. There are also many utube video's on how too's. The utube can be googled and are very easy to find.

Saying that my suggestion is for all that are just starting out is to ask your question but also include what you are running, Mac or Pc. Vista, Xp or Windows 7 if you have downloaded the updates and drivers etc.

We welcome you to the forum and hope you will have it up and running soon. It is fun and easy to play with and makes beautiful designs.

Sorry you are having problems. If you go to www.svgcuts.com there are videos there that should be able to help you understand and use the program.
