Stars and swirl border

Post by jennifer mcquillan »

Just something I made while learning how to do things with Inkscape. Watching http://www.scrappydew.com/tutorials/ has really helped me. There is so much to learn but it's really fun. I did what HeatherM said to do and it worked great. Thanks again Heather. So for those like me I took down the old and put up a new. So it should work fine.

Sorry everyone but I know what step I missed so I will have to start over again. So delete this one and I'll redo it and try it before I post it.

Oh no you can post it. No stepping on toes here :) I watched the tutorial again and missed the step of making a bitmap of it and then tracing it, but when I trace it, it looks like crap. So if you don't mind telling me what you did that would be great so I know next time. Thanks :)

No need to make a bitmap and then trace it. You already have vectors. You are using Inkscape 0.47? Open the file in Ink. Ungroup several times, until you don't see Group and only see Path in the Inkscape message bar, then use Path/Union.
