Shellie-

I love all your files!! You are very talented. I tried to cut the mickey background and I also only get the outsquare and just some lines. Do you think you can fix the file. I would be eternally grateful to you. I want to use it for the background of the title page of my daughter's Disney autograph book.

Thanks, Melinda

I tried to cut the heartbackground and all it cut was the outside border in the shape of a square. Can you give me instructions for cutting this.

I can't figure out how to cut the heart background. It only cut a square. What do I need to do??

someone pmed me and said the hearts background and mickey background would only cut parts. I reopend these in illustrator, and deleted the individual lines, and resaved. I pulled it up in sca, and it appears they they should be working now. Sorry it took me so long! I haven't had time to play lately. :D

I hate to be a pest, but the star one is doing the same thing - cutting a big background square with just a few lines with no stars. :(

I took a look at that file. I've not tried to cut it myself, but I did open it in inkscape.

It appears to be one file on top of another & the two are "grouped" together. It might work if the file is "ungrouped"--object:ungroup & then remove either the top or bottom layer; then drag your mouse around & select the entire thing, then path: combine. then save & import & cut in scal.

i don't have scal, so I don't know if that will work, but I think it might.

It's always a good idea to check any files that you did not make. Open them in inkscape & look at the nodes & lines etc. while viewing in "ouline" mode.

hope this helps.
