Laura,
I downloaded the file and the last "o" hasn't been converted to an outline.

Hmmm, not sure what's wrong, I didn't have any problem opening it in Scal1...I'll try downloading what I posted and see if it got corrupted somehow.

Ahh, yes mine works fine because it is the correct file! Sorry I uploaded my working file instead of the finshed product...new svg file put in the earlier post and I deleted the other. Thanks for bringing to my attention Todd! Apologies to those who got the wrong one!

scrpbooklady wrote:Here's some info on the first B&B I've looked into:

The Inn at Windmere has 6 guest rooms - would accommodate 6 if no one shared rooms, 10 if people shared rooms but not beds. With 7 or more people, the rate is $160 per person - but it includes your stay, dinner Friday & Saturday, breakfast Sat & Sun, and lunch on Saturday. It also includes snacks and refreshments for the duration of your stay.

They offer a large room they say will hold 12 scrapbookers - each person has a 6 foot table, chair and ott lite. The B&B also has wireless internet.

This place looks very nice and with all meals included, I thought 160 a person is a fair price - I've seen some that charge 300 for the same package.

As far as scrapbook stores - I know that Fort Wayne has Joanne's, HL, Michael's and an Archiver's. There are also some independent shops but I'm not sure of the names to look them up online.

I think if we want to do this, we need to set a date soon - looking at availability on this inn's website, they already had some rooms booked that far out. I found two weekends that had all the rooms available: May 27-29 and June 17-19.

Here is the link if anyone wants to take a look: http://www.innatwindmere.com/index.html

I'll look at a few other places and see what else I can find as far as affordability, etc.
This sounds really great and a good price, but I know that our May and June weekends are pretty well booked, plus the kids here are still in school until the middle of June. How about August?

This is the second vote for August. This will work for me, so that's three for August. Anybody else?

Aww, I'm sad. It sounds like it's going to be so much fun and you can't beat that price. Too bad I live soo far away. :(

There have been a few votes now for August so I checked on the B&B availability - the weekend of August 12-14 still shows all rooms available.

Here's the details from my original post on the B&B:

The Inn at Windmere has 6 guest rooms - would accommodate 6 if no one shared rooms, 10 if people shared rooms but not beds. On the scrapbook retreat page, it indicates taht with 7 or more people, the rate is $160 per person - but it includes your stay, dinner Friday & Saturday, breakfast Sat & Sun, and lunch on Saturday.

If we want to do this, we need to make commitments soon to ensure all rooms are available.

If you want to attend and are ready to commit by booking a room, can you please respond to this post so we can determine if we have a total of 7 people? I'll add your name to the list below as you respond. If we reach 7 people, I'll call my contact and get everything set up, and then each person would need to contact the B&B to book their spot. (Note- my daughter and I will share a room so that leaves 5 rooms available but if you are signing up with someone you want or would be willing to share a room with, please indicate this. All but one of the rooms has multiple beds).

3. Pennsylvaniakate
4. talanhart (Todd)
5. HeatherM
6.
7.

I hope we have enough interest to do this - I think it would be so much fun to meet and scrapbook for whole weekend!

Added you to the list! I'm going to try to keep this towards the top for the next few days and see if there is enough interest!
