Aren't you afraid of the warranty not being in effect when using these spray glues??? It says not to or your warranty is void.

yes, mask the edges, I didn't do that, and my cutter stuck cause it got on the little wheels that turn it. very hard to get off. (used undo)
also, I find using the stencil adhesive like you buy for wall stecils better because fine paper doesn't stick and tear, and it leaves no residue. it is a temp. adhesive. I haven't bought mats in over a year!

Has anyone tried Wacky Tac? I was reading on line that it is repositionable and comes in liquid and sheets.

You all are brilliant! One I use up the dozen or so stockpiled mats I have I will give this a try. One of the online stores had them on sale a year or so ago and I bought a ton of them. I wish I'd heard about this before I bought them all.
For the poster worrying about the warranty, the waranty is only good for a year. You are on your own after that.

Speaking of mats, someone on a blog that I visited said that Provocraft recommends always using a blade depth of 5 and pressure of 5 no matter what paper you are cutting. I emailed her and asked wouldn't that cut into the mat if you were using thin paper. She replied that "you are supposed to cut the mat". I can see slightly cutting into the mat, but if we used pressure 5 even on thin paper, wouldn't that cut too deeply into the mat and thus wear it out sooner?

Everything I have heard from Provo Craft recommends NOT cutting too deeply, to stay as shallow as possible so as not to wear out the mat as quickly. But, perhaps, they changed their tune (seeing as so many people can go a long time without buying a new mat!). I wouldn't use that setting. I stay mostly on the one and two on my blade and the two highest settings on the Cricut.

When you spray your mat do you remove the old adhesive or just spray over it?

I mask the edges, and spray over it. If the mat starts looking to bad, I go down and wash them with warm soapy water, scrape them in the water too, then let them dry. Then mask the edges, and spray again.

I just bought the elmer's craft bond multi purpose adhesive and i just want to know how to use it for the mat? How long do i have to wait before using the mat after spraying it? I appreciate any guidance so i dont mess up the mat in any way. Thank you.

I would leave it a good few hours until it just feels a bit sticky to the touch.. You don't want it too sticky as your paper will stick too much and be hard to pull off..
