Okay. You still have the original firmware on your bug, not the upgraded firmware. Reinstall DS (not the newest version but an older one) and then follow the directions to upgrade your firmware. You should see the directions the first time you open your new installation of DS.

I just got my cricut and it also says V1.0 I think they are all going to be sent out with either this version or the other one that won't work with SCAL. It's PC's way of getting people to spend lots on their cartridges. I got SCAL so I could save on the cartridge prices. I am guessing that the DS trial versions that they have will also be changed so that none will have the V1.1 firmware. I tried to d/l the one from the site on this forum, the one that is supposed to have the old version of DS, but it won't work for me. I keep getting error messages saying that Cricut has encountered a problem and has to shut down.
THANKS ANNA for the message and the help. THANKS everyone who helped. I am hoping that I can get things straightened out soon, (with Anna's help). Maybe the SCAL people will come up with a way to work around this problem soon. Much Mahalo to everyone!
