I'm stuck already ! I downloaded the Cutepdf printer facility and created a wordle and saved as a PDF with the print facilitiy on the site but Inkscape doesn't see the PDF. I couldn't save it as anything else except a Microsoft Document image and all I want to do at the moment is find a way of creating the words in a size that I want. At the same time why won't Inkscape see the pdf?

I always have a problem with INK and pdf...the program starts to move verrrrry slooooow. Try saving as a tif in cutepdf and then open in INK. Trace bitmap...that is what I did.

I must be missing something because I only have the option to save as type: PDF not TIFF. How do you reach that point of saving it to TIFF?

Can you open the file in Acrobat Reader or Cutepdf? I have Adobe Acrobat and I have it set to open the file after "printing" and from there I save as tif.

Thanks for your help AnointedHands. Finally managed to open it in Photoshop Elements and from there to jpeg or tif and finally with a lot of fiddling around, re-size it. I am sure there must be an easier way of re-sizing a pdf though for printing.

Just found the way of doing it by opening it in Word and then amending the size as I want

Amazing fantastic site - fantastic for scrapbooking - thanks

For those having Inkscape and PDF problems, make sure you have the latest version of Inkscape.

The only thing I hate about this site is that you can only do words and numbers. I would love to do flowers.
You can make a flower one in a word document, using text boxes to position other than on a line (even overlapping text boxes)
and then 'print' as a pdf using cute pdf writer.

Mine came up backwards too! I just flipped in the shape properties window and then it worked fine.
