Sounds like a lot of work when all you have to do is cut some vinyl.

I thought the $40.00 price on the Walmart lite cartridges was a little pricey. Everytime I look, the shelves are full so I wonder if they are selling at all.

Todd, here's a list of the new cartridges:
http://www.cricut.com/shop/#0/73/0/2/Cricut/
Four Legged Friends, Inspired Heart, Twinkle Toes, Jolly Holidays, Lite Cupcake, Playtime, Zoo Day. All of those will be $20 on Black Friday.
LindaMac- I agree $40 is way too high for any cartridge. This is coming from the girl who bought one of the first Cricut's and paid $90 for a cartridge. DH & I thought there were only going to be about a dozen of them at that time, lol. Now, I pay around $20 and I am super picky.
Some of the girls over at the Cricut board used spray paint to customize their Cricut. I know a few of the Gazelle girls are doing the same thing too. There was a long post over at the old board for customized Cricut's. Since the old board is only archive I just did a Google search.
Here's a link and there are some videos too:
