Can anyone help me? (Newbie with a question)

Post by Jenne »

I've had SCAL2 & been using it with my Cricut for a while now, but I've mostly only used purchased SVGs.

Now I need to turn a logo into a cuttable file and can't get it to work!

It seems like it should be a simple enough thing-- they're just words. No fancy graphics or anything.

But every time I use the Trace feature, all I get is a blobby mess.

I've gone through several tutorials and followed their directions, but obviously, I'm missing something.

Can anyone tell me how to make this work?

Thank you so much!

Jenn, the problem with the file has to do with the fact that it was shaded and textured, saved as a gif and converted to a png. I can't do anything with it either.

It will need to be recreated from scratch I believe, unless you can find the image in solid colors. If you know what the font is that did the text you should be able to recreate the words, if not the beautiful coloring. I don't know what the font is so I can't help but we have some very talented folk here and this will be a good challenge.

Sorry but hold on...help may arrive any minute.

I had to do a lot of steps outside of scal for my try at this. Anyhow, this is what I came up with. Deleted file, seen Rach has already helped you.
