Embossing folder

Post by sstehman »

I read somewhere to use cereal boxes so gave it a try. Used the deep cut blade set on 6 at max pressure (FYI).

For the folders (get this) I used those thin plastic mats for cutting on your counter top. They are cheap at the flea market (2 in a pack for $1.00. I had to cut my image out in double and then glue them together to get a good emboss.

Still want to try some other materials, like the self adhesive magnets, but the cereal boxes were on hand and it worked great.

Nice embossing folder Sandy. Have you made anything with it yet? I have not had any luck making my own embossing folders. :(

I have 2 graduation parties to go to and I used it for a card. I didn't take a picture of them as it wasn't that detailed. Those thin plastic cutting mats work great for a folder. I used regular glue sticks and the cereal box (or cracker box or anything else like that) cut fine and glued fine.
