Need help

I need some help trying to figure out how to cut these flower petals in half, top to bottom. We want to make a program, with the flower shapes as the cover, so rather than cut the out whole and then hand cut them in half where we might not be real straight, I'd like to cut them out already in half. But I'm not sure how to do that, would love a crop option where I could just crop it in half. Can anyone help me figure out how to do it?

I opened them up in Inkscape, made sure there was a node on the point of the petal I wanted to cut in half, drew a box around the nodes I didn't want and took out those ones . It needs a little tweeking to make sure it is half but it should work. Good Luck

ok next question, it is saved as a jpeg, how do I get it into get it in SVG form? Wait I think I have it, learning new stuff everyday!! Thanks for the help!!!
