To unzip a compressed file, you right-click and then you will see "extract all files"...click on that and the extraction wizard should open up (I think all Windows OS have this...I have XP so use it all the time). Follow the extraction instructions to extract your font. THEN you can transfer the TT font to your Window folder Font folder.

transferring the font is where she is confused. Maybe you can give different instructions than I emailed her. I'm not making any sense to her :)

I had my husband try to help me... he couldn't figure it out either.. He suggests I wait and ask my son who I will see later this week. I will ask him to show me on his computer how to do this... unless I have figured it out myself.. I will keep looking at all the advice infromation I have been given until then. Thanks...

You really don't have to install the fonts in control panel.
I have them in a folder in "MY documents" and I just open all the ones I want to use and "then" you open SCA and they will be there.
Try not to install them in control panel, I'm sure you have hundreds and it can slow down your computer.

Will they be there in SCA of you only have the trial version? I haven't purchased the full version yet, and seem to be having trouble trying to add dingbats. I'm not sure if it's me or just because I don't have full version yet.

Installing fonts in your computer is different in XP then it is in Vista. There is a very good totoral at the original craft edge site. Not the forum here. I have vista and here is how I do it. I save the font in a seperate file. I named my file phont so not to confuse my comptuter and so I could find it easily. You open your control panel, double click on the font folder and leave it open just minimized. You then go to explorer and find your phonts file. Double click on the ttf you want to open. This will pull up a jpg of your fonts. This in mine is a large jpg and up in the right hand corner you will see properties. Click on that. That will open up another screen you will have options ther you choose unlock then ok. This then unlocks your compressed ttf. Close the jpg. To install fonts folder just drag your ttf to the fonts folder and it is installed. Most ttf's you get off the net are compressed some are not, if not all you have to do is drag and drop in the font folder from your phonts folder. Some of my fonts did not show up til I actually put them in the fonts folder. Although Coral Paint Shop Pro XI says they will show up in any folder through PSP mine didn't.
I know this sounds confusing but after you've done a couple of hundred you can do them in your sleep :D

I have a question too on this as I have Vista and it looks entirely different then xp, where do I find the fonts manager in the control panel. I had Creating Keepsakes cds and when I put them on they went right into the program but when I download fonts/dingbats they stay in the folder, what do it do?

I am having this problem as well. When I click on My documents, the only thing that shows is My Pictures. I'm so frustrated!
