I want to cut the word Cabela's (it is a store name.) Here is a site where you can see the actual logo that I am wanting to cut. (http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/conte ... cabela%27s)

I want this strictly for a scrapbook LO for my own personal use.... we attended the Grand Opening of a store and took lots of pictures and I want to use it for that - nothiing else.

Can someone help me ???? I either need step by step instructions or a cut file.

PLEASE.

I found a much better image here. http://duckdecoyfin.com/myPictures/Cabe ... utline.jpg
This one traces well with the default settings in Inkscape. Then if you want both colors, break it apart, view in outline mode. Click off of the trace, then select all of the pieces for the yellow part of the letters, use Control K (Path/Combine) to put them back together. Select the rest of the pieces and Control K. Move the two sets of letters apart so that you can cut the yellow letters and the black mat.

There is an AI version of the logo here. http://www.seeklogo.com/cabela-s-logo-24365.html
Inkscape will open this file once it is unzipped. The file has a lot of groups, so it will be fastest to use the Control click/copy/paste method to make a file for use. See my post here for more detail on that. They have used a stroke on the black part of the logo, so after you paste that part of the logo it will be a black outline, with it still selected, Control D. From the menu, Path/Stroke to path. Select both copies of the black images. Path/Union. The green portion just needs to be pasted outside of the group. Delete the original vectors and save as an SVG. HTH
