Help please on card making

I am wanting to take a svg file and make it into a card. Iam wanting to take the svg filein ink and make a foldable card.Every timeI try it cuts a line where the fold of the card should be. Any one out there know how to dothis so it does not cut a dividing line?Or have a link to a tutorial? It ried using Dan99 tut on the word book and it still wont work grrr

View it in outline mode. Look for either a gap in the outline, or an extra line. If you used 2 elements, did you use Path/Union to make them into one element?

Yes I used path and Union. I dont know how to view in outline mode in INk.

From the menu, View/Display mode/Outline. You might also try select all (Control A) and see how many objects of type path you have.

OK when I view it in outline there is a division line. Now lol how do I get rid of that?

We'll have to see what kinds of objects are involved to answer that. Can you post the svg here?

There wasn't an easy solution to this as you not only had the vertical line to remove, but also double lines and lots of tiny artifacts. I fixed it with some break apart and delete, and some node by node work. The main problem with this was that your trace was too sensitive. Next time you might try the paint bucket technique so you can see what the trace looks like as you go instead of having to clean it up later. I have 2 videos on my blog about the paint bucket technique. Anyway, here ya go...
