Silhouette image...my first cut with the SCAL

Post by scraphappysue »

I love the SCAL!!! This is my first try. I downloaded this free font from http://www.fontspace.com
by Manfred Klein called Silhous-Two. There are many of the silhouettes to choose from. It cut beautifully. I cut it at 5-6 inches.

Thanks for sharing your cut. I was not able to see the cut cuz I don't have the font on my computer. There is a workaround for that. Since you have posted a .svg file, you can convert it.

Using Inkscape:
  • Select the dingbat (will have a dotted box around it and arrows)
    Go to Path>Object to Path
    Go To Path>Union
    Save it
This will change it from dingbat to an object so everyone will be able to see it whether they have the font installed on their computer or not.

Thank you for the tip. See if this works...I'm not sure what I'm doing.
Here is the pic again.

Wow - thanks for that. I'm going to have a look for that font too.
