I wish I had seen this before getting rid of my old computer ... I am so upset I have lost the scal software and the new one don't work with the cricut, if I had have known I would have saved the scal file before dumping the old computer

Sad sad sad but thanks for the announcement. I'm wondering if it needs to be reinstalled about activation?

I did the firmware update, so how could I go back again! Thanks
Also, I see the Scal doesn't have a cricut in cutters.

Did you figure out a way to bring the firmware back? I'm also looking to do this.

I think your only recourse is to contact Provocraft support to see if the will help you downgrade the firmware. Ensure that you understand what the downgrade will do to others programs you have from them.

There is a way to reverse your firmware back to an older version. It involves replacing one file in the updater program. I have the instructions here on the board. It will take awhile to find, but it can be done.
