Thanks Donna! I know you can do that for fonts but I didnt know for shapes!

Do I select the shape and then click blackout?

Inkscape won't open EPS files. I think there is a plug in that will let you, but I haven't checked into it.

I have attached a jpg of the pumpkin box. I have converted it to an svg but it's not ready for cutting- still trying to figure it out. maybe someone else can do it

I did it (I think). attached is a pumpkin treat box with the eyes and mouth cut out. glue some colored vellum on back for effect. I did not test this yet

Whoops I should have told you when you open the svg in inkscape the lines can be moved off of it and deleted.. I put the lines just to show where the folds go.. Sorry.. :oops:

Sounds good to me (blind-leading-the-blind here I think) but it should work out pretty easy (keeping in mind shadow-blackout makes it bigger so your margins show and blackout keeps it true-to-size).

Oh wow, thank you! This website has cute Santa boxes, etc. but I figured it was useless for me to download them!

What an awesome pumpkin treat box...I opened the second one and it is super!
