Happy Holiday -ecal2 gradient

Post by papasue »

Playing with the new vs of ecal2/scal4 and made this card. The trees came from here, free!
http://www.clker.com/clipart-green-gray-forest.html

I used the new gradient feature just because it was there and I wanted to see what it did. It only does black or inverted white on my Mac so I made a blue color layer and cut the opacity down to temper the black a bit.
I'm happy, and am sharing the file so you can see all the pieces. For sure a Print file onto the card base.

I had lots of problems with the gradient.
1. when I reopen the file the gradient doesn't show. Had to select the the rectangle for the gradient and select gradient again from the colors panel and it popped up.

2. Exported to Photoshop elements and the gradient did not show there either.

3. it wouldn't print the gradient, so I selected all and set everything to print to cut print finally got a print with the gradient, but I have a printer with 8 colors so don't know what will happen with less colors.

Lots of work to be done by craftedge but I'm very encouraged that this will be a great program when it gets finished!
