Found this...still looking for more things. You could do a banner like was recently done for the baby shower.

Maybe a theme to start.

I did a internet search("retirement decoration ideas") and there are several sites to get ideas from.

when I retired, a woman put my face on a picture of a Las Vegas showgirl and printed it out in an 8X10 and gave it to me as a card and had everyone sign it. I lived in Vegas at the time. It is a treasured gift. I just wish I was as skinny as that showgirl!
