My latest print & cut paper toy. Template is from here: http://rommy.kamimodel.com/index_e.html
The template is a vector PDF that translates to SVG very well. The creator did a very nice job with all the cut & fold lines so they can be turned into paths in Inkscape. And the calibration in SCAL helped make the cut outs EXACTLY accurate.

I'd post the cut file, but the site's copyright notice says not to. :(

Very cool! Thanks for the link. I downloaded the files for my Great Niece. I hope I can get it to work as well as you did.

Very cute. I have to make sure my son doesn't see this or he'll want me to make him a bunch. :D

Here's another ROMMY, made with my new Cameo. I took the same SVG file I made for the other one, imported it into SCAL 3, laid in a different skin template, and cut. Presto!

I had a bit of trouble figuring out the registration marks in SCAL. Even though I'm using a 12x12 mat, I'm using an 8.5x11 paper. SCAL does the registration marks relative to the MAT. Once I figured that out and got the marks in the right place everything cut beautifully - the first time!

Ohhh, I'm mad at you! I couldn't get SCAL to do a print & cut for the life of me. Was in a hurry that day, so I will try again. It would read the two of the registration marks but not the third. Ended up having to figure out how to use Silhouette software to do it.

Is it my imagination or does this one look better than the one cut with that "other" machine?

Bet you are so excited to use your new toy.
