Laser preview is fine, but cutting is not.

Post by Kathy 2422 »

I have had my eclips for several years and thoroughly enjoyed it until this week.
I went to use it after about a month break and was able to cut one sheet until the machine went wonky , wouldn't cut or load/ unload. I purchased another power cord made for the eclipse and the machine seemed to load the mat fine, but during the cutting process, the mat was moved too much (by the machine) and cutting was being done on the area at the end where there is no paper. When I do a laser preview, the laser stays on the paper, but when I try cutting, it keeps ending off the paper almost from the beginning (it may be cutting the opposite order of the laser.
I've:
restarted the machine and the computer
made sure the ecal software was updated
loaded/ unloaded from the machine, controller, and computer
tried several mats
Tried to calibrate the laser using ecal , but the program kept freezing during the process.

What am I missing?

Haven't heard that one....but I would contact both Sizzix and CraftEdge. If you can take a short video clip for Sizzix, they might want to see what is happening.
