eClips Cutting Wonky

Post by aririn86 »

eClips and eCal newbie here!

I loaded an SVG file into eCal and previewed the cut with the laser preview for my eClips. The preview looks great and the positioning on the mat is fine, but when I go to have the machine make the actual cuts, it's printing about an inch too far to the left and COMPLETELY messing up what it should be cutting. The cuts are being made all over itself, so it's cutting the designs in half and leaving sections completely mangled. I'm on the new Maverick OS for Mac (OS 10). Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help!

Might want to try calibrating first since you have different operating system.

Hi, had you ever cut this successfully before which would indicate that it is a Mavericks problem or a file problem? If you think it is Mavericks see this post from CraftEdge. Although it talks about SCAL2 CE told me it works for eCAL/SCAL3. Try it and if you are still having problems contact CE directly at this address.

Let us know how you do as many folks want to upgrade to Mavericks but are tentative about doing it.
